Level 1 Treatment: Ozone
What is ozone and how it works to achieve decontamination and odor control
Ozone for Decontamination: Ozone works differently than a chemical sanitizer by using oxidation to destroy mold, viruses, bacteria, pollen and odors that live in the air and on surfaces.This process happens millions of times so that the pathogen dies by the destruction of the outer membrane. Since bacteria and viruses need oxygen, they cannot become immune to ozone.
Ozone for Odor Removal: Ozone works by destroying the molecules, bacteria, and spores that cause unpleasant odors. The extra oxygen atom in the ozone attaches itself to other molecules, chemically changing their structure to create non-offensive molecules rendering the smell/odor eliminated. This is a basic principle we find in nature; it is oxidation, meaning the target is literally changed from what it was into a new compound.
About Ozone: Ozone is an active gas that has an unstable molecule that has 3 atoms of oxygen.Normal oxygen has 2 atoms.The ozone molecule is unstable so it quickly breaks away from the other molecules and looks for other atoms to form back into oxygen.When it comes in contact with a carbon or sulfur molecule it destroys it.These free oxygen molecules are very reactive and oxidize almost anything they come in contact with. These include viruses, bacteria, organic and inorganic compounds.This makes ozone a powerful decontaminant.Most of the air pollutants are carbon or sulphur based.Once the ozone attacks these pollutants it leaves nothing but oxygen.Ozone is much stronger than chlorine or hypochlorites (ex...bleach) disinfectants.There are no by-products with ozone and it is an environmentally friendly decontaminant unlike these other cleaners.
Good ozone is not the same as Smog (when oxygen combines with auto or power plant emissions).We all have smelled the clean air after a lightning storm or ultraviolet radiation where the ozone leaves only oxygen and purifies the air.
PLEASE NOTE:
Because the machines we use produce ozone at high levels, people, pets and plants cannot stay in the home during the process for safety. Once the treatment is completed the technician will enter the home with the proper breathing apparatus and will open the doors and windows for 20 - 30 minutes to clear the home. The technician will measure the ozone levels to confirm it is safe to enter.This ozone treatment lasts a minimum of 2 hours and may take up to 6 hours.

Level 2 Treatment: Ozone and Decon Five Treatment
Where there are heavy odor and sanitization issues Decon Five can be used in conjunction with an ozone treatment. Decon Five is biodegradable and does not leave any toxic residue.It also will not stain surfaces. Decon Five is Green certified and a highly effective Sanitizer and Odor killer which includes use on germs,viruses and bacteria and neutralizes molds. It can also be used for HVAC ducts. It is delivered in a mist that can get too hard to reach areas.
Level 3 Treatment: Ozone, Decon Five and Probiotic Treatment
The most highly effective process is to ozone areas followed by the Decon Five sanitization misting and then applying Probiotics to surfaces for longer effectiveness when homeowners continue to apply the probiotics to keep biofilm from reforming and giving bacterias ,viruses etc… a food source to reoccur.
