Repair of roof sheating

This repair is in the attic of the Virginia Beach home that had the roof stains. This is in an area where an addition was put on the home. Where the original home structure met the addition it looks as scrap wood was used to cobble together the two. Eventually the failure in the design led to the water intrusion that caused the ceiling stains. You can see here the solution was copious amounts of sealant.
